Our consultations are one-on-one, involving thorough assessment, treatment and ongoing management advice. Extended consultations for multiple injuries are also available.
As physiotherapists, we treat a range of joint, muscle, connective tissue and nerve issues. Our approach is very hands-on, using techniques such as joint mobilisations, trigger point release, muscle energy techniques, massage, neural mobilisations and taping techniques. We combine this hands-on approach with appropriate exercise prescription and education/advice to enable our clients to be proactive in managing their condition.
Melanie Platt also offers dry needling and womens health physiotherapy as part of her treatment approach.
We are experienced in treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions including:
Private health fund rebates are available at the time of treatment using HICAPS. We are also part of HCFs More For Muscles program which provides for one initial consultation a year to be bulk billed for eligible members.
As registered providers, treatment is able to be provided under WorkCover and Dept of Veterans Affairs (DVA).
We are happy to treat clients on a Medicare EPC/GPCCMP plan. The full fee of $91.80 for 30 minute appointments and $151.80 for 1 hour appointments is payable at the time and we will process the claim for you to be reimbursed by Medicare. The current rebate is $61.80, however this may be more if you have reached the Medicare Safety Net.
We are limited in our ability to treat clients on the NDIS and request that you phone us on 0400045988 if you would like to enquire about NDIS appointment availability.
Telehealth consultations for physiotherapy are covered by some private health insurers, workcover and Medicare (on an EPC/CDM plan). If you are unable to attend in person, are unwell or have a concern that doesn't require a face-to-face consult, then a telehealth consultation is available anytime. Telehealth consultations are easily set up through our booking system and all that you need is a computer, smart phone or tablet with internet access to be able to access these.
